The Little Book of BIG Scams’ provides all the information you need to help minimise the chances of becoming a victim of fraud. The booklet provides a comprehensive guide on fraud prevention, explaining some of the most common scams in existence and providing essential advice on how to reduce the chances of being scammed.

The booklet is designed to raise awareness of the varied techniques which are being used by fraudsters across the country. The guide includes advice on a wide range of scams, including identity theft, door-to-door scams, online fraud and banking scams. It can be downloaded from the Cheshire Police website at: https://cheshire.police.uk/advice-and-support/fraud-and-scams/the-little-book-of-big-scams/. Anyone who has believes that they may have been a victim of fraud should report it by contacting Cheshire Police or alternatively you can call Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or report it online at www.actionfraud.co.uk.

Also included within this website is a link to Community Payback. Community Payback is the scheme whereby offenders carry out a supervised 'community sentence' of between 40 and 300 hours of unpaid work. This work benefits the community - the offenders pay back the community for their crimes by doing work within their own community; for this reason member of public are encouraged to nominate work projects for offenders which will benefit their community
