Easter Chick Library Hunt, Saturday 1st April to Saturday 22nd April. Free. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Lego Club, Tuesday 4th April. Bollington Library’s Lego Club is held on the first Tuesday of the month from 4pm to 5pm. Suitable for primary school aged children. Free, but places are limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Story and Tea for Adults, Thursday 6th April 2pm – 3pm. Join us for reading and refreshments and share your love of books. Free, all adults welcome.

Children’s Book Club, Friday 7th April 3:45pm – 4:45pm. Suitable for children aged 7 and above, please call 01625 378266 for more information. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Extra Lego drop-in session, Saturday 8th April 10am-12noon. Suitable for primary school aged children. Free, but places are limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Children’s Easter Crafts, Wednesday 12th April, drop in from 1pm – 4pm. £1 per craft, suitable for children aged 3 and upwards. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

IT courses: Bollington Library is offering free one hour online IT sessions for beginners in April.

Regular weekly events: Story Time at 10am on Tuesdays and Rhyme Time at 10am on Wednesdays and Fridays. Suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, these sessions are free.

Swimming at Bollington Health & Leisure

We are now taking bookings for our elite swimming crash course which will take place over the Easter holidays, from Monday 10th April – Thursday 13th April 2017.

These crash crash courses are for children who are in stages 1-6 and for toddlers (3 years+), the lessons are 30 minutes each day and taught by our swimming teachers.

The cost of the course is £25 for the 4 days, please contact reception to book or for further information.

Mess Around Messy Play Bollington Civic Hall

Come along and play on Thursday 13th April at Bollington Civic Hall.

Spring into our Eggstravaganza party where your little chicks can have some messy Easter fun with egg rolling, Easter rice and feathers. Or explore nature at its messy best with gloopy ducks, bunny tails, and spaghetti bird nests. Of course no Easter party would be complete without a classic Easter egg hunt. So get prepared to get messy and have fun, and leave the cleaning up to us!
The event is suitable for children aged 6 months (or sitting unaided) to 5 years old. What makes us special is everyone is welcome to join in including older siblings up to the age of 10, who can participate in the Big Kids Create & Make Corner which include Arts, Crafts and Junk modelling activities to keep them busy!

As well as all the usual mess we will also have a visit from one of our mascots to keep the party in full swing!

The potential of all children is boundless. Fire the imagination, engage the emotions and effortless learning takes place.

This is a week-long course for children (8 and up) and young adults. After getting to know each other through bonding games, the children are introduced to the play that they will be putting on. The week incorporates acting exercises, theatre games and a rehearsal process culminating in a stage production for parents and friends.

National Trust Easter Egg Hunts April 14th-17th unless stated otherwise

Hare Hill Follow our self-guided Easter Egg trail to find the clues and solve the puzzle. What's more, all Eggsplorers will receive a delicious chocolate Cadbury Egghead at the end of each completed trail, and every single Cadbury Easter Egg Trail will help support special places like Hare Hill for future generations to explore.11am - 4pm

Lyme Park

Head to Lyme for an Easter adventure, intrigue and of course, Cadbury's chocolate! Follow the trail around the garden and discover the stories of Lyme explorer Thomas Legh. Can you solve the clues to get your Cadbury chocolate treat at the end? Entry into the garden to follow the trail requires a garden ticket which is free for National Trust members. For non members a garden ticket is £7 per adult and £3.50 per child. There is an additional charge for the Easter Egg hunt of £2 per trail sheet.Admission Charges Apply Website.

Teggs Nose Country Park Easter Hunt

Ranger Martin’s Easter Eggs have been stolen! Can you help him find the wildlife that has taken them and collect their names? Buy a map from the Tegg's Nose Tea Room for 50p, and get searching around the top of the park.

Each map purchased entitles you to 50p discount off one hot drink from Tegg's Nose Tea Room following completion of the trail.

Lambing at Blaze Farm

“Blaze Farm Lambing Season 2017".
The lambing shed will be open from Saturday April 1st till Monday April 17th – 10am-5pm (closed Monday 3rd & 10th April). Admission is £1.50 per person, all ages.

Visit Paradise Mill and step back into 1930's industrial Macclesfield. Take a tour with one of our knowledgeable tour guides and discover a typical day at the Mill. See 26 restored Jacquard looms and watch as they weave their magic!

Please be aware that entrance to Paradise Mill is by guided tour only - tours run 11.45am, 1pm and 2.15pm (Monday to Saturday) and 1pm and 2.15pm on Bank Holiday Mondays.

Due to regulations we can only take a certain number of people on tours in Paradise Mill. We often have large groups visiting us and it is best to check which tours are available before planning a visit. Back to Top.

Full of fun experiments and interactive demonstrations, Jodrell Bank’s impressive live science shows are perfect for all the family and entry is included with general admission.

Make a Quasar at Jodrell Bank!

Quasars are among the brightest, and most distant objects in the universe! They are young, energetic galaxies which existed in the early universe. They shoot out intense jets of radiation, powered by supermassive black holes at their centre which are pulling in matter. In this drop-in session, you can create your own model of a quasar, plus learn how radio observations (including Jodrell Bank’s early experiments to link radio telescopes) led us to find out more about these remarkable objects!

Main activity is roller skating.

Skating costs £5 per session plus £1 for skate hire

Sessions last 1 hour and 45 minutes starting at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm (and 6pm Fri, Sat).

If you’re not confident on the rink, though, don’t fret—they also have table games like table tennis, table football, air hockey and pool. No need to pay extra to play on them, either!

Please note that children from 4-11 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of their stay! Those under the age of 4 will not be permitted to skate!
After all that excitement, you’ll need a sit down at the café. Drown your sorrows in a cold drink and a snack if you lost and celebrate with one of their delicious snacks and a cold drink if you won!

Multisports Courses at Club AZ

ClubAZ - Mulberry's and Hulleys at AstraZeneca
These are very popular multi-sport camps for boys and girls aged 4-14. ClubAZ Mulberry's is in Alderley Edge and ClubAZ Hulley's is in Macclesfield. Both camps have been excellently attended for the past two decades.

Places are limited, based on a first-come first-served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment. The course starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm. As multi-sport suggests, the children will partake in a huge variety of sports and fun games. There will also be inflatables, crafts and loads more exciting activities. Below are the dates for courses at AstraZeneca for the current year.

A great way to experience some varied exciting activities in the countryside with local experts Moorland Adventure!

Based at Tegg’s Nose Country Park, each day focuses on different activities and it will give you a taste of adventure! Suitable for anyone between the ages of 8 and 16. Booking and payment in advance is essential
