Traffic Lights for 2 weeks on Bollington Road Bollington (B5090) for wall repairs 14-28 Aug

Date: 12th August 2017

Many of you will have seen this leaning wall which could fall into the road. Disappointingly, Cheshire East Highways declined to get involved even though the cost would have been paid by the home owner. The owner has had significant difficulty engaging contractors so the Town Council stepped in to help. We had become increasingly worried that it may fall into the road and cause a serious accident.

There are no costs for the Town Council to bear, only a little of our time time and understanding of the difficulties involved in this sort of work.

Premier Traffic and Duggan & Parr Stone Repair Services will start the work on Monday. During Peak Times the traffic lights will be manually operated to minimise queues. Their contact numbers are shown below.

We are sorry about the potential for delays. The Silk Road should be open next week which will help.
