Bollington Movie Final Scene - The Parade

One Sunday in September 2013 the traffic was stopped and hundreds of people turned up at 7.00am for the filming of the final scene of the Bollington Movie – ‘The Grand Parade’. The weather was fine and all the various groups took their allocated places along Palmerston Street from the Bridgend Centre all the way up past the Pool Bank Car Park as the camera vehicle moved and they were brought in behind playing, dancing and singing.

Bollington Film ParadeJames Nicholas can be seen directing the action.

There were 4 takes in all and the idea was to have one complete take in the film with everyone in the parade having their turn in front of the camera. The script of the movie is a secret but we know it is a romance and the finished film will be shown at the Bollington Festival next year.

As usual Bollington was up for it and people also came from far around.

We cannot list all who took part but thanks to Bollington Brass Band, The Bollington Festival Choir, Bollington Schools, Bollington Souts, Guides and Brownies, Bollington SeaCadets, The Lions for the Bacon Sandwich Stall, the Hawiian Dancers, the Zumba Dancers, Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service, Cheshire East Council, Canalside  Community Radio, Bollington Town Council Members & Staff and everyone else who supported the event.
