Vacancy for an Administration and Support Assistant

19 hours per week | SCP 5 – £9,919 (actual per annum)
£19,312 (full time equivalent)

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am – 1.30pm. Tuesday 9.30am – 12.30pm.

You will be the first point of contact for visitors and members of the public, handling a range of enquiries and playing a vital role in conveying our ethos of a helpful and proactive council.

You will be an indispensable part of the council’s service delivery and undertaking the day-to-day administration of the Civic Hall booking system.

You will undertake a broad range of routine administration, from managing databases, reporting maintenance issues, maintaining stationery stocks and handling routine correspondence.

You will help us get our message out to the community by helping to maintain the council’s website and social media presence.


You will be automatically enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme, a career average defined benefits scheme.

You will be entitled to 21 working days leave per annum increasing to 25 working days leave when you have five years’ continuous service, in addition to normal bank and public holidays (pro rata for part time employees).
