Dave Irwin lives in Bollington and works producing artwork for the hospitality trade.

This collection is about faces and scale. David wanted to work big, as he normally produces teeny tiny detailed images. The collection this exhibition draws from ranges in size from 2.2m square (the size of an entire wall) to 2×2. Foot.

David’s aim has been to study a number of recognisable faces, simplifying them into abstract shapes and blowing them up in size whilst retaining a recognisable likeness.

The exhibition runs Sunday 21st January to Sunday 18th February 2024. The Gallery is open 2-4pm on Sundays and during other events listed on the Bollington Arts Centre events page.
