Budget Consultation
Bollington Town Council is seeking residents’ views to increase the precept to pay for services that Cheshire East Council want to introduce charges for or to cut.
After negotiations with Cheshire East Council, Bollington Town Council has agreed to recommend to residents that we should pay for Pool Bank Car Park to remain free of charges and for the proposed cuts in Library hours to be restored. Unless Bollington Town Council can gain the agreement of residents, drivers will be charged to use Pool Bank Car Park and the Library will be cut back to 11 hours per week from the new year.
Therefore, we are sending out a consultation on the back of our newsletter for all residents to complete and return. Collection boxes will be situated at the Town Hall, the Library, the Co-op, Tesco, the Leisure Centre and Grimshaw Lane Corner Store.
A consultation meeting is being held at the Civic Hall on 29th October 2024 6.00pm-7.30pm for residents to meet informally with Town Councillors and seek information.
The consultation will run from 14th October 2024 to 15th November 2024.
