Cancelled - Carols Around the Tree

Due to concern over increasing cases of Covid-19 in the community and uncertainty over how serious a threat to public health the new variant will prove to be, the council has been re-examining our risk assessment for our Carols around the Tree event on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, we have had to take the difficult decision to cancel as due to the nature of the event we cannot put sufficient measures in place to mitigate the risks. We know that everyone will be disappointed but the council’s highest priority is to keep people safe.
