Children’s Summer Activities:


Summer Reading Challenge beginsMischief Makers. Children are encouraged to read 6 books over the Summer, collecting stickers and incentives along the way.


Wednesday 1st August: No Bake Treats.  2.15-3.15pm. £2.50 per ticket. Book in advance as places are limited. 5+  Please inform at time of booking of any allergies.


Tuesday 7th August: 3D Pens Taster Session. 10-4pm. Drop in, no charge. 7+


Tuesday 14th August: Cops and Robbers. 10.30-11.30am. Visit by PCSO Hannah Jackson. No Charge.


Tuesday 14th   August: Children’s Lego Club,  4-5pm. No Charge, drop in.


Thursday 16th August: Lego Stop Motion Animation. 10-12noon. £1 per ticket. Book in advance as places are limited. 6+


Saturday 18th August: Junk Modelling. 9.30-12.30pm. £1 per child. Drop in.


Friday 24th August: Papier Mache Bowls. 2-4pm Drop in. £2.50 per child.


Thursday 30th August: Fun Science. 10-11am. £4.00 per child. Book in advance as places are limited. 4+


As with all our children’s events, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Children’s Regular Weekly Events: Story Time at 10am on Tuesdays and Rhyme Time at 10am on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers these sessions are free. These weekly events will continue during the School Holidays. Older siblings are welcome to join in.


Other Regular Events:


Thursday 2nd August: Story and Tea for Adults,  2pm – 3pm. Join us for reading and refreshments and share your love of books. No Charge, all adults welcome. 


Tuesday 7th August: Morning and Evening Library Reading Group. 11am and 6pm respectively . Contact the library for more information about joining.


We can also offer one to one IT Buddy Tuition. Contact the library for more details, if interested.
