Events at Bollington Library
The following events are on at Bollington Library in May 2018
Tuesday 1st May: Morning and Evening Library Reading Group. 11am and 6pm respectively . Contact the library for more information about joining.
Thursday 3rd May: Story and Tea for Adults, 2pm – 3pm. Join us for reading and refreshments and share your love of books. No Charge, all adults welcome.
Tuesday 8th May: Children’s Lego Club, 4-5pm. No Charge, drop in.
Wednesday 16th May: Advice Desk from www.newleafcheshire.co.uk 10-10.30am. Advice available on benefits, budgeting, access to training, volunteering & employment opportunities. No Charge, drop in.
Saturday 19th May: Children’s’ Author, Matt Buckingham, 11am. Matt is the creator of the Bright Stanley children’s books. Join Matt for a fun story and drawing workshop. There will be a chance to buy his books and get them signed. No charge.
Mon 21st - Saturday 26th May
As part of Local and Community History Week the library will have a Local Community Display, Leaflets on Local and Family History, information on Find My Past, Ancestry, British Newspaper Archive amd other online family history resources that are free to use on the library computers.
Thursday 24th May
Drop in from 10-11am - Reserach the History of your House
Drop in from 3.30-4.30pm - Decorate a Rock with a Local History Theme. Take it away to hide for someone else to find to tie in with "BollyRocks"
Thursday 31st May: Children’s Craft, Make a Finger Puppet and Play Board Games 10-4pm £1.00 per child, drop in.
As with all our children’s events, children must be accompanied by an adult.
Children’s Regular Weekly Events: Story Time at 10am on Tuesdays and Rhyme Time at 10am on Wednesdays and Fridays. Suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers these sessions are free. These weekly events will continue during the May School Holidays.
We can also offer one to one IT Buddy Tuition. Contact the library for more details, if interested.
