Full Council 4th February 2025 key points
Key points from the meeting of Bollington Town Council on 4 February 2025
- The Council was very concerned about ongoing delay in the implementation of nearly £60,000 worth of Cheshire East Council works to improve facilities for our community at Bollington Recreation Ground, and decided to seek an urgent meeting with Cheshire East management and councillors for a full explanation.
- It was noted that discussions with nearby Town Councils had now concluded that a joint approach to introducing enhanced waste disposal arrangements (following Cheshire East’s closure of Bollington’s and other tips) is not realistically feasible, and that therefore this project will not now be pursued.
- Proposals developed by the Town Council’s Travel & Transport Working Group for introduction of a 20mph speed-limit zone in Bollington were agreed to be forwarded now to Cheshire East’s Highways department, for them to produce costings and to advise on the feasibility of the scheme to enable a decision to then be made as to whether to take it forward.
