Cheshire East Council grass cutting programme

The purpose in cutting the grass is to enhance road safety. The aim is to ensure clear visibility at bends and junctions, keep road signs unobstructed, and provide sufficient space for pedestrians to pass on the pavement.

Grass verges serve as havens for plants, birds, and insects. To preserve this wildlife,  grass is cut on verges in rural areas once annually.
