Flood Update & Damaged Goods Collection Information

Date: 13th August 2019
Published by: Admin

Bollington Town Councillors have arranged with Cheshire East Council for 3 more skips to be provided for the disposal of flood damaged goods.

These will be delivered on Thursday (15th) and sited at Ingersley Road, High Street and the corner of Ashbrook Road (to serve the properties flooded on Princess Street / Henshall Road)

Please get in touch if you require assistance transporting your damaged items to the skips and we will see what we can do.

As before please only put flood damaged items into the skips and where appropriate and possible break up larger items so that we can get as much in them as possible.

The Town Hall team, and Councillors have been in regular contact with agencies including The Environment Agency, ANSA, Cheshire East Council Emergency Planning Team and CEC Highways following the flooding and will continue to feedback information as we receive it. There will be a CEC debrief next month which will look at all the factors which added to the flood risk this time as well as ways to prepare for and react to any future extreme weather episodes.
