NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

S14 (2) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers issues this notice temporarily to prohibit traffic in the following length of road:-

Grimshaw Lane, Bollington Ward, Macclesfield, from Hurst Lane Junction to Chancery Lane & Jackson Lane Junction.

The alternative route will be via the following streets: - Hurst Lane, Palmerston Street, High Street, Market Place, Chancery Lane

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.

The closure is necessary to enable BT to carry out underground network cabling.

It is anticipated that the works will take place on the following date(s): Wednesday 24th January 2018 to Friday 26th January 2018.

This notice will become operative on Wednesday 24th January 2018 for a period of 5 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed.
