The Great Bollington Whitsun Scarecrow Show

Date: 27th May 2020

Celebrating our Covid-19 heroes and heroines.
Organised by Bollington Town Council and Bollington Dementia Action Alliance.

Over the Bank Holiday weekend Bollington came alive with some fantastic creations in the form of Scarecrows.

Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic we were advised against producing a trail map on this occasion as it may have encouraged unnecessary trips into Bollington from elsewhere, but many residents have enjoyed seeing the scarecrows on their travels about the town.

A big thank you to everyone who took part.

It was down to the Mayor, Cllr John Stewart to judge the best in each category - an almost impossible task.

Pictured here are a selection of the prize winners. To view a gallery of all the scarecrows taken by members of the Bollington Photographic Group please visit their new website here

Categories of pictures below:

Overall winners, Unique entries, NHS workers, Childrens entries, Refuse Collectors, Postal Workers, Delivery Workers, Scientists, Police, Colonel Tom, Fire Service, School Teacher, Joe Wicks, Butchers, Shops and Cafes, Organisations. You can view more results on the Mayor of Bollington Facebook page including Innovative Streets Kingsway, Leat Place, Greenfield Road, Wards; Central, East and West
