The Little Book of BIG Scams’ provides all the information you need to help minimise the chances of becoming a victim of fraud. The booklet provides a comprehensive guide on fraud prevention, explaining some of the most common scams in existence and providing essential advice on how to reduce the chances of being scammed.
The booklet is designed to raise awareness of the varied techniques which are being used by fraudsters across the country. The guide includes advice on a wide range of scams, including identity theft, door-to-door scams, online fraud and banking scams. Community Payback is the scheme whereby offenders carry out a supervised 'community sentence' of between 40 and 300 hours of unpaid work.
