Thursday 22nd February: Lego at Your Leisure,

10am -4pm. Especially for half term, children’s Lego day, no charge, just drop in.

Children’s Regular Weekly Events: Story Time at 10am on Tuesdays and Rhyme Time at 10am on Wednesdays and Fridays. Suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers all sessions are free.

These events will continue throughout half term.

Mess Around Play

Jungle Party

Are you ready to Rumble? Join our messy herd for a ‘roarsome’ time at our Rumble in the Jungle party, where your Little One’s can stomp with the elephants, go bananas with our monkeys and slither with the snakes.

Come along and play on Monday 26th February 2018 at Bollington Civic Hall.

The event is suitable for children aged 6 months (or sitting unaided) to 5 years old. What makes us special is everyone is welcome to join in including older siblings up to the age of 10, who can participate in the Big Kids Create & Make Corner which include Arts, Crafts and Junk modelling activities to keep them busy!

With lots to explore including the Tiger Rice Tea Party, Jelly Snake Swamp, join the hippos for a Mud Bath the little ones can squelch, pour, mix and get messy until their hearts are content. All you have to do is come along and MESS AROUND and leave the cleaning up to us!

Our popular Telescope Walking Tours will be running on weekdays and you can join one of our friendly explainers for a walk around the base of the Lovell Telescope. You’ll find out more about how the impressive Grade 1 Telescope works, explore its fascinating history, and discover some of its ground-breaking research.

Suitable for ages 10+

Under 5s: Journey through the Solar System

Monday 19 – Friday 23 February
11am and 2:30pm

Do you want to explore space? Then meet us at our Clockwork Orrery for a journey through the Solar System! On the way we will be stopping at some of the planets to discover what they sound, smell, look and feel like.

Designed for children aged 3-5, sessions last around 20 miutes.

This session is FREE with general admission and be booked on arrival, depending on availability

Live Science Show: The Dark Side of the Universe

Monday 19 – Friday 23 February
10:30am, 11:30am, 3pm

Have you ever wondered what dark matter is? Is dark energy a real thing? Discover how the visible can appear invisible and why galaxies should fly apart, in our brand new live science show.

Featuring interactive demonstrations and fascinating experiments, science shows are perfect for all the family.

Science Shows are Free with general admission and can be booked on arrival, depending on availability.

Cinemac - Early Man

Located in Macclesfield, we offer roller-skating, roller-blading, roller disco, artistic skating lessons, bouldering & climbing for all abilities, exercise classes for toddlers & adults and a multi-use community room providing a meeting place for the whole community. We also have a cafe and party rooms and are looking to add more facilities in the future.

Multisports Courses at Club AZ

ClubAZ - Mulberry's and Hulleys at AstraZeneca
These are very popular multi-sport camps for boys and girls aged 4-14. ClubAZ Mulberry's is in Alderley Edge and ClubAZ Hulley's is in Macclesfield. Both camps have been excellently attended for the past two decades.

Places are limited, based on a first-come first-served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment. The course starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm. As multi-sport suggests, the children will partake in a huge variety of sports and fun games. There will also be inflatables, crafts and loads more exciting activities. Below are the dates for courses at AstraZeneca for the current year.

From Saturday 17 February 2018 to Sunday 25 February 2018

Visit the Scarecrow Festival in the Gardens.

Over 30 scarecrows will be resident in the Gardens.

Find the scarecrows and have a go at making your own!

Deer Feed and Trailer Ride

Tuesday 20th & Wednesday 23rd February

Take a trailer ride with the Rangers to watch the daily deer feed. Get a close look at hundreds of deer feeding in their beautiful natural setting. Minimum age: 4 years old. This event must be pre-booked and includes park entry admission on the day of the workshop.

Toys Through Time

On Friday 23 February 2018

Discover the toys that children played with in the past. Learn about how they work, what they are made from and how toys have changed over time.

Soft Archery 19th - 23rd February

Have a go at Soft Archery in the garden, perfect for all those budding Robin Hoods out there!

Four soft archery sessions available each day, spaces reserved on the day at the Ticket Office, first come first served. Maximum 12 children per session, priced at 50p per child. Archery sessions at 11.30am, 12pm, 1pm and 1.30pm.

February half-term - Welly Walks

Get your wellies on and take a walk on the wild side this February half-term. Explore the gardens and woodland at Quarry Bank with an interactive, exciting and wild walk for all the family.

Book your free ticket online, please book one ticket per child.

Please note children must be accompanied by an adult and normal admission charges apply.

As well as welly walks there will be outdoor games, storytelling, a welly throwing competition and much more!
