Town Warden - Town Van

Date: 14th September 2017
Published by: David Naylor

The Town Council has acquired a second hand van to support the role of the Job-shared Town Wardens post. The wardens also job share the Civic Hall caretaking role and manage the cleaning of our public toilets at Adlington Road and the Recreation Ground. We have taken on this role from Cheshire East to avoid the toilets from being closed. The wardens will also use the van to support our many civic and partnership events events including temporary or rolling road closures. Managing road closures was being charged out to us by Cheshire East highways at significant cost and we now have staff trained in signing and managing the closures. Therefore, we have taken that role in-house. The Wardens will use the van to supplement the work of Cheshire East in helping to keep Bollington clean and tidy.
