It was the end of an era when our Town Clerk, David Naylor retired on April 30th.

The Clerk in action at the 2016 Town Assembly

David joined the Town Council in 2010 bringing with him a wealth of experience of Local Government including the former Macclesfield Borough and Cheshire East Councils.

He was soon at the heart of the many projects undertaken by the Town Council during the last 10 years and though his achievements are too numerous to list there are many visible testaments to his hard work in the Town, including the Skatepark, the MUGA and new pitch at Bollington Cross, the Bowling Hut, the improvements at Coronation Gardens play area and the new stone plinths in the Memorial Gardens.

Ever present at our Civic Events and often helping organise non-Council events David was always prepared to roll up his sleeves and get stuck in.

We wish David well in his retirement and he knows he is always welcome in the Town that he has made his adoptive home. Thank you David.
