Update - Gnat Hole Bridge

Cheshire East Council have now completed all of the necessary surveys to inform the design of the repair solution.  They anticipate the design to be complete by the end of April 2024. This allows for a window of the Environment Agency to permit the work, as they are working within the water.

Work is planned to mobilise on the 3^rd of June with a programme lasting four weeks. This will also include the original installation of cables by Electricity North West. The work must be tailored into Cheshire East Council’s ongoing maintenance programme.

They are aware of the inconvenience caused by the road closure and as such have programmed it in at the earliest opportunity.
