Structure and purpose of working groups
Compared to Committee meetings, Working Groups are more informal.
Working Groups:
- focus on specific issues or tasks and make recommendations to the Committees they report to.
- do not make decisions.
- comprised of Councillors, appointed members of the public or appointed representatives of local organisations.
Strategic Plan Working Group
Reviews the Council’s Strategic Plan for achieving its purpose, values, objectives and key priorities for a two year period.
Meetings will be set by the Working Group.

White Ribbon Working Group
To support a community-based initiative aimed at ending male violence against women and promoting gender equality.
