Roads
With winter approaching, we are liaising with CEC Highways to request priorities on gulley emptying as well as road resurfacing for next year’s programme.

Autumn newsletter
The newsletter is delivered to all households paying the Bollington precept.

Potholes, blocked gullies, faulty streetlight?
Report a problem to Cheshire East Council on traCE.

Events
Thank you to everyone who came to the Emergency Services Day event – it was great to see you there. We hope to go bigger and better next year!
The Mayor was delighted to present this year’s Community Awards to Bollington’s outstanding volunteers and businesses.

NWAA Charity Quiz
It’s a sell out – if you have entered a team, we look forward to seeing you on 24th October.

Canal 200th
4th December 2026 marks 200 years since the cutting of the first sod in Bollington for the Macclesfield Canal. We are collaborating with the Civic Society and Discovery Centre to hold a commemorative event.

Free bus travel
We have secured a third free bus travel day for journeys within Bollington and Kerridge for Saturday 5th December to coincide with the Christmas Market.

Crossfield Road and Kent Avenue
We continue to listen to and support residents affected by redevelopment proposals.

St John’s Church
CEC Building Control has enforced a closure on the churchyard on grounds of public safety. It is distressing for many members of the community. We continue to seek updates from the local authority on the situation.
